Following is an archive of the documents that were on the NCACISA Website that had to be closed due to the Chapter disbanding.
July 1, 2023
Greetings all,
A sad day for the Chapter, but it was inevitable.
Thank you so much Joann For working tirelessly to maintain the Zoom meetings and communications. Hopefully the Facebook web page can survive!
Going forward, I will make a page on my website, www.montgomeryappraisalgroup.com, titled NCACISA. On that page will be everything I can transfer from the chapter website, including the list of the meetings since 2010 and whatever else I can transfer. This data is for use by chapter members for their requalification hours. I have a spreadsheet for the same period that I can attach, too, if you want. The other meetings, from 2003 to 2010 are all actual minutes, in digital word format. I will keep them if anyone wants or needs them as I can send them via email. All the notebooks with paper documentation, etc, etc from 2003 to 2018 are in a box in my Annapolis house.
I tried to include the Zoom meetings on the spreadsheet, but I am not sure about the accuracy. Whatever, it is all voluntary and trust driven.
It was good that we had a slow crumbling rather than a sudden break. We are all, and will always be, members of the National Capitol Area Chapter of the ISA!
Hugs,
Nini
In 1980, following the establishment of the International Society of Appraisers in 1979, a group of local appraisers formed the National Capital Area Chapter of the International Society of Appraisers (ISANCAC). This was done to address the need for knowledgeable and professional appraisers in the Washington-Baltimore area.
Since its formation, the ISANCAC has distinguished itself as an important participant in local and national activities, for example, by hosting the national conference and winning the ISA outstanding chapter of year award three times. NCAC members have been active at the national level of ISA, holding positions on the Board of Directors, serving as national officers, including President, chairing numerous committees and as recipients of national awards. Many of our members are published authors.
NCAC generally has 8 Chapter meetings a year and tries to host educational opportunities annually.
The Chapter also produces its own Membership Directory, which is updated annually
If you have questions, please email Nini Hamalainen ISA CAPP at magmaryland@outlook.com
The Chapter is a Sponsor of the annual Conference and supports the Foundation of Appraiser Education.
In addition we have 2 local Affinity Business Partners:
Potomack Company
Quinn’s Auction Galleries
